Territorial Acknowledgement

Our work and team at NEDI extends across this vast country and we respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we gather, work, and connect are the enduring territories of diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples from coast to coast to coast. Our relationship to this place is one of living, working, and playing—a connection we carry with us in our work across Canada and beyond.

We are committed to moving beyond words into meaningful action: by embedding territorial acknowledgements in all we do, educating ourselves and others on their purpose, uplifting Indigenous-led training tools, and actively supporting the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. This is a living commitment—one we will continue to grow with humility, respect, and care for the lands, waters, and peoples who have stewarded them since time immemorial.

This acknowledgement was developed through personal and organizational reflection, with guidance from Indigenous-led principles and the ongoing work of truth and reconciliation.
