NEDI Career Matters

At NEDI we are focussed on collaboration and not replicating what is already available to support your IE career and career matters. We build upon and increase access to existing resources as well as develop complimentary training, advising, coaching, and other career supports. Our Career Events are both virtual and in-person.

Virtual Events:

We are pleased to announce our first virtual career symposium, The NourishED Path: IE Career Matters Symposium, which will take place Monday June 29 and Monday July 6, 2026 from 8:00am to 12:00noon (pacific time) both days.

​

This two-day event is designed for International Education practitioners navigating a shifting career landscape. Across two half-days we move from Cultivating Our Roots - exploring professional identity - to Branching Out where we provide the tactical tools, branding strategies, and peer-advising needed to navigate careers and career upheaval.

In-Person Events:

Our in-person NEDI Career Centres are held in partnership with organizations who host in-person conferences. Most recently, we partnered with the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) to host our inaugural NEDI Career Centre: Career Matters at the 2025 CBIE Annual Conference in Quebec City. At this inaugural event we welcomed almost 100 IE colleagues to the Centre as advisors, advisees, and/or guests. Sponsors of this inaugural Centre included Duolingo and Guard.me's Wellness and Learning Initiatives. We hope to offer this in-person NEDI Career Centre again at the CBIE 2026 conference in Ottawa, Canada. Stay tuned!
